"While managing natural resources, the most developed form of participation is self management by the community"

Community going Green

More than hundred women. young & old community members of Ibrahim Hyderi embarked on a journey to kanjur island on Auguet 13, 1996

Our Efforts, Our Benefits

The community members planted mangroves on over 25 acres from 11 AM to 6 PM

What we take from nature must be paid back for future survival

This plantation was the first step towards the management of over 300 acres of mangrove forest by the local community
For the sustainiablity of any community based project it is a must that all the actors of the community should be involved both in planning and the implementation special the women and the young who are usually ignored
More than thirty local women participated in the plantation they also attended the orientation and planning workshop

Our Prospects, Our Responsibility

Our future lies in the hands of the young but are we giving our young a present which will help them manage the future

Together we can change our destiny

When the community learns the importance of collaborative work the results could be miraculous

Visible incentives motivate a lot of people

Some where more intereted in being photographed. Oh yes, perhapsthe boss see the photograps
